We currently have an opening for a Controls Engineer .
A Controls Engineer is responsible for creating electrical schematics, releasing packages and updating drawings. This individual will develop, program and troubleshoot automated equipment hardware and software according to customer and internal specifications.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent combination of education and related experience
- Fundamental understanding of Rockwell RSLogix or Siemens development software, Schematic Capture Software, AutoCAD or equivalent CAD environments
- Experience with Allen Bradley or Siemens PLC’s, HMI’s and Servo controls
- Experience with Cognex vision systems, Epson, Stabli and Fanuc robotics would be a plus.
- Familiarity with computer programs such as Windows, Excel, Word, Outlook and Project
- Demonstrated ability to work in a cross-functional team environment as well as independently.
Job Duties
- Program control systems for cam, servo and air-operated stations, along with test and electrical devices.
- Lead the development of Controls architecture for multiple module system and the engineering team.
- Ensure the electrical and program designs are functional, robust and cost-effective.
- Innovate and use good judgment to incorporate IMA Automation, USA standards and regulatory requirements.
- Participate in internal and customer design reviews, installations and service calls when needed.
- Provide technical support to external and internal customers.
- Work closely with Mechanical Engineering and Mechanical Builders to problem-solve, debug software issues and update all appropriate documentation.
- Travel to customer sites as required for installation and reintegration of systems.
