Enterprise Data Collections Specialist

Overview

The eDiscovery Collection Specialist (Enterprise Data) is a client-dedicated role that supports the client’s Legal department and discovery team in the preservation, collection, transfer, and storage of data during the discovery process.

This role requires strong technical knowledge and discovery experience, as well as collaboration and interpersonal skills to interface with counsel, global teams, and individuals at all levels

Responsibilities

• Track ongoing collection, processing, review workflow enhancements, and standardization efforts
• Assist with revising process documentation as needed
• Facilitate remote collection of data from enterprise systems, including Exchange servers, file shares, and cloud-based collaboration and communication tools
• Verify, analyze, and transfer secure data sets
• Record collection efforts, update chain of custody and media collection logs
• Effectively communicate with case teams and other Legal and corporate stakeholders in support of the discovery workflows
• Analyze and deploy best practices applicable to the handling and analysis of electronic evidence

Additional Responsibilities / Details :

• Utilize off-the-shelf and proprietary data collection, analysis, and reporting tools
• Support other team members with training and education to encourage best practices and high-quality service

Qualifications

Minimum Education Requirements :

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Digital Forensics, IS, or other relevant technical course work

Minimum Experience Requirements :

• Thorough understanding of the EDRM lifecycle and electronic discovery workflows
• Experience and / or familiarity with enterprise information technology and various forms of electronically stored information (ESI), as well as the data privacy and cross-border impact of data transfers
• Prior experience in a client service or customer support role a plus

Other Requirements :

• Strong communication skills, including the ability to convey complex technical concepts in a simple and concise manner
• Demonstrable expertise in Email server environments, such as M365, GSuite, MS Exchange, and email archiving environments
• Experience with Amazon Web Services technology a plus
• Python coding experience a plus
