Mission Focus: NT Concepts is seeking a Python Developer who will provide onsite software development support for a geospatial visualization platform. The Developer shall maintain the current code base of the application in addition to adding additional features based on customer requirements.

Clearance: TS/SCI with Polygraph

Location/Flexibility: McLean, VA

Responsibilities:

• Developing custom code, scripts, modules, macro procedures, libraries, and dynamically linked libraries for geospatial analysis functions using Python. Using Python to augment and analyze data.
• Providing ad hoc support for writing scripts in Python and other coding languages to help automate geoprocessing of large datasets in response to analysts’ needs. Instructing and assisting analysts in writing custom code and scripts as needed.
• Leveraging available computing resources to handle very large geospatial datasets, creating efficiencies in data management including data deduplication and reduction, streamlining geospatial data processing, and scaling processes from regional to global
• Educating and advising the Sponsor on the current state of the art and future direction of geospatial technology and products.
• As directed by the ACOTR, providing metadata, commented code, user manuals, system requirements, system security plans, and any other documents required for future users to learn, implement, and maintain the products or methodologies developed.

Qualifications:

Required skills include:

• Python
• Relational databases (PostgreSQL preferred)
• Basic understanding of GIS Concepts
• Any experience with Esri’s ArcGIS Server architecture is a welcome addition but not a requirement.
• Minimum Qualifications: Masters + 1 year of qualified experienceBachelors + 3 years of qualified experienceAssociates + 5 years of qualified experienceHigh School Degree + 7 years of qualified experience

Physical Requirements:

• Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
• Must be able to lift up to 10-15 pounds at times.
