Sr. Programmer Analyst Salary Range: $100k to $150k Overview
A leading organization is seeking a Sr. Programmer Analyst to support and optimize enterprise digital analytics and data collection initiatives. This role will focus on implementing scalable tagging solutions, managing analytics infrastructure, ensuring data integrity, and supporting cross-functional digital experience initiatives.

The ideal candidate will bring strong experience with enterprise tag management platforms, analytics ecosystems, and front-end technologies, along with expertise in governance, privacy compliance, and event-driven data architectures.
Key Responsibilities Tag Management & Analytics Implementation
  • Develop, implement, and maintain tagging solutions across digital platforms using enterprise tag management systems including:
    • Adobe Experience Platform (AEP) Data Collection / Adobe Launch
    • Google Tag Manager (GTM)
    • Tealium
    • Other enterprise tagging platforms
  • Configure and manage tag properties, rules, and workflows across multiple domains and environments
  • Support publishing processes and library management within AEP Data Collection
  • Design and execute scalable analytics tracking strategies and tagging standards
Data Collection & Analytics Architecture
  • Implement and maintain event-driven analytics frameworks including:
    • EDDL
    • AdobeDataLayer
  • Ensure accurate, consistent, and efficient data collection across digital properties
  • Partner with stakeholders to define tracking requirements and data layer specifications
  • Support enterprise customer journey and digital analytics initiatives
Testing, Debugging & Data Quality
  • Conduct validation, QA testing, and debugging of analytics implementations
  • Troubleshoot tagging and tracking issues to ensure data integrity and platform performance
  • Monitor analytics accuracy and tracking consistency across web environments
Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Collaborate with:
    • Front-end engineering teams
    • UX/UI teams
    • Product managers and product owners
    • Business analysts
    • Marketing and analytics stakeholders
  • Align analytics implementation strategies with business and customer experience objectives
  • Provide support and guidance for analytics best practices and governance standards
Governance, Compliance & Documentation
  • Enforce tagging governance standards and implementation best practices
  • Ensure compliance with data privacy regulations including GDPR and CCPA
  • Create and maintain implementation documentation and tracking specifications
  • Support onboarding and training efforts related to analytics tools and processes
Required Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience in digital analytics, tag management, or analytics implementation
  • Hands-on experience with:
    • Adobe Experience Platform (AEP) Data Collection / Adobe Launch
    • Google Tag Manager (GTM)
    • Tealium
    • Similar enterprise tag management platforms
  • Strong experience with:
    • Tag implementation
    • Testing and debugging
    • Analytics solution design and planning
  • Strong JavaScript skills related to analytics and tag deployment
  • Working knowledge of:
    • HTML
    • CSS
    • Front-end development concepts
  • Experience with data layer standards, governance, and formatting
  • Familiarity with Agile development methodologies and software development lifecycle processes
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related STEM field
Preferred Qualifications Adobe Analytics Ecosystem
  • Experience with:
    • Adobe Analytics
    • Adobe Experience Platform (AEP)
    • Customer Journey Analytics (CJA)
    • Customer Data Platform (CDP)
    • Adobe Web SDK implementation
Advanced Analytics & Governance
  • Understanding of Adobe Analytics concepts including:
    • eVars
    • Props
    • Success Events
    • SAINT classifications
    • Rule-based classifications
  • Experience supporting analytics governance across enterprise digital ecosystems
Technical & Automation Skills
  • Experience integrating with Adobe and third-party APIs
  • Python scripting experience for automation or analytics workflows
  • Familiarity with crawling and site analysis tools such as:
    • Screaming Frog
    • Python-based crawlers
Enterprise & Global Experience
  • Experience supporting international or multi-region analytics deployments
  • Understanding of enterprise marketing analytics and customer lifecycle measurement
