Location :   US remote

As a Sales Development Representative at Xeneta, you will be part of a group of solution minded sales team working together to bring ocean and air freight data to customers. Our daily customer engagements include conversations around logistics / supply chain management, ocean freight, air freight, RFQ’s, and industry specific current events. This means a successful SDR at Xeneta will develop a thorough understanding of international ocean and air freight shipping, negotiation strategy, transportation procurement, and operational knowledge of global trade infrastructure. Your main objective is to evangelize the Xeneta product to set up direct business meetings with global logistics leaders.

What you will be doing

  • Learn and evangelize how big data plays a role in modernizing Ocean and Air freight procurement.
  • Identify and qualify new business opportunities by networking with global logistics leaders in Global Fortune 500 companies.
  • Research accounts for relevant news, personas and other intent signals to create personalized and value-led prospecting outreach.
  • High level of focus on keeping the CRM up to date.
  • Provide a seamless introduction to AE by documenting qualification meetings and creating genuine rapport potential clients.
  • Help drive new opportunities into mid-funnel stage by coordinating NDA signature.
  • Develop strategies with your assigned AE to conquer assigned market segment.
  • Over time develop the skills you need for your next role in the company.

Your profile and experience

The professional background and skills we believe to be advantageous in the role :

  • Experience from sales or tender / pricing desks within a Freight Forwarding or Carrier organization is a must, meaning you have a in-depth knowledge of Logistics and / or Freight Procurement.
  • 2-3 years of professional work experience in sales, business development, client success, financial services, or consulting (preferred).
  • BA / BS degree (preferred).
  • Experience with and appreciation of “hunter” sales.

  • Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.

    What we offer

  • The published range reflects the base salary for this role. The total compensation also includes a variable, performance-based component, following a 60 / 40 split between base and variable pay (base representing 60% of total OTE).
