Staff Accountant
For over 60 years, Vanguard has been a leading provider of solutions and services for fire protection, life safety, and security systems from design to installation and inspections.
Vanguard Fire & Security Systems, Inc. is looking for a Staff Accountant to join our team at our headquarters in Grand Rapids, MI.
This person must have exceptional organizational skills, an eye-for-detail, and the ability to multi-task.
They should be able to work independently, as well as part of a team, and be willing to assume various responsibilities in relation to company growth.

Responsibilities :
- Review invoices for accuracy and approval
- Process payments to vendors
- Communicating with vendors in regards to payments or discrepancies
- Maintain the highest ethical standards at all times
- Adhere to company policies
- Accept other duties and tasks assigned with proven skills and abilities
Qualifications / Experience
- Demonstrate an aptitude for finance, pricing, and general inventory
- Previous experience processing and paying invoices
- Exhibit intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel and Word skills
- Possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication abilities to interact with colleagues and executives
