Assist attorneys in all stages of litigation. Assist in preparing and filing (including e-filing) of legal documents in state and federal court. Manage case files by creating, organizing, tracking, and maintaining files; monitor calendars and meeting deadlines; document actions; input information into file databases and case management software. Handle document management tasks such as review, proofreading, bates labeling, organizing documents, and compiling information for discovery responses, pleadings, and motions. Perform factual research and investigation. Lead subpoena and third-party records retrieval efforts. Draft correspondence and memoranda for attorneys as requested. Familiarity with e-discovery, including collecting, reviewing, and producing electronically stored information (state and federal courts). Experience with Relativity, LiveNote, Case/Time Map, Summation, Adobe Acrobat, and Trial Director is a plus. Assist in trial preparation and attend trials, organizing evidence, preparing exhibits, scheduling witnesses, and ensuring witnesses are ready. Accurately enter time in billing systems such as InTapp, avoiding vague or excessive time entries.
