The Print Marketing Buyer is important to the success of marketing campaigns and the growth of the organization. The Print Marketing Buyer supports a range of marketing efforts such as direct mail campaigns, signage, promotional and branded items, purchasing, printing and material ordering.

The ideal candidate will have experience in procurement, print purchasing, budget management and supply chain experience.

Responsibilities :

• Leads cross-functional procurement & production supply chain processes.
• Leads price negotiations & manages long-term supply chain partnerships.
• Oversee all domestic & international ship-product deliverables.
• Supervises both in-house and off-site inventory management.
• Responsible for legal mitigation and MSA / SOW enforcement across supplier network.
• Liaison between external suppliers and internal creative / marketing to ensure proper preparation and delivery of materials.
• Sources & manages all third-party manufactures, printers & mail houses.
• Manage $3 Million annual print buying and direct mail P&L portfolio.
• Negotiates aggressive cost-savings, evaluates quote bids and awards contracts and purchase orders.
• Assess corporate buying needs to secure preferential pricing & bids from third-party suppliers.
• Develops standards for new products or services and assures invoice payments from PO initiation to receipt of goods.
• Manages internal tracking software for purchasing department including establishing requirements, process, procedures and organization of all requests.
• Formulates profitable ways to manage obsolete and slow-moving stock to help offset losses.
• Controls print flow and inventory levels, managing printer & mail house vendors to ensure production is on-time, inventory is replenished and deadlines are met.

Requirements :

• Bachelors degree or experience as a substitute
• 4+ years of work experience as Print Purchasing Specialist
• 4 years of work experience in supply chain management
• Thorough knowledge of design, materials, print press functions and the color printing process
• Experience sourcing and managing vendors
• Experience working with print vendors
• Implementation planning and developing of effective inventory management policies
• Skilled at negotiation and networking
• Ability to assess, manage and mitigate risks
• Ability to gather, analyze and reconcile data
• Ability to work cross-functionally between departments
