Support students across a range of academic and behavioral needs as a Substitute Paraprofessional in K–12 classrooms. This flexible, on-call position ensures instructional continuity during staff absences and contributes to a positive, structured learning environment.
Minimum Requirements :
Valid Michigan Paraprofessional Certificate OR 60 college credit hours
High school diploma or GED required
Experience in childcare, education, tutoring, or related roles preferred
Professional demeanor and strong communication skills
Ability to follow directions and maintain confidentiality
Key Responsibilities :
Assist with classroom instruction, organization, and student supervision
Support individual students or small groups with academic tasks
Monitor behavior and help implement behavior support plans
Aid students with transitions, recess, and lunchroom supervision
Follow teacher-provided plans and communicate observations as needed
