• Able to use precision measuring tools
• Ability to weld and fitting pipe from drawings
• Ability to work with precision instruments
• Detail-oriented and consistent
• Flexibility and adaptability
• General knowledge of hand and power tools
• Understanding of basic welding operations
• Mechanical aptitude
• Must be familiar with blueprints
• Must have sheet metal fabrications skills???
• Observe safety / security procedures

Field Duties (80- 95% of work time) :

• Must be able to travel up to five days a week.
• Must have a labor-intensive attitude and be capable of climbing towers, water tanks or rooftops.
• Provide superior customer service while ensuring all essential job functions are performed in a timely, efficient, accurate, and safe manner.
• Adhere to all company and industry standard / regulations (OSHA, COMTRAIN, etc.)
• Assemble / fabricate equipment and metal structures
• Comply with the health / safety programs
• Fit / weld according to drawing specifications
• Inform management of needed maintenance operations
• Inspect products and make their list
• Interpret blueprints, sketches, and diagrams
• Keep records and maintain inventory of the parts
• Maintain a neat clean work area
• Maintain punctuality and daily time records
• Observe safety reports and regulations
• Operate various types of material handlers and man lifts.
• Perform machine-to-machine material handling
• Perform preventative maintenance
• Produce metal products based on employer requirements
• Provide guidance and training to others
• Repair metal structures of different sizes
• Set up and perform welding operations

Office Duties (5- 20% of work time) :

• Read and interpret structural and architectural drawings, specifications, and design requirements related to telecommunications, commercial, residential, and light industrial applications.
• Conduct due diligence for multiple projects prior to field work.
• Review peer work product.

Qualifications :

• Current AWS (American Welding Society) certification.
• 5-7 years welding experience required; some cell tower industry experience highly preferred.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills; self-starter, team player, and results oriented.
• Must be at least 21 years old, have a valid driver’s license, and a clean driving record to operate a company vehicle.
