- Able to use precision measuring tools
- Ability to weld and fitting pipe from drawings
- Ability to work with precision instruments
- Detail-oriented and consistent
- Flexibility and adaptability
- General knowledge of hand and power tools
- Understanding of basic welding operations
- Mechanical aptitude
- Must be familiar with blueprints
- Must have sheet metal fabrications skills???
- Observe safety / security procedures
Field Duties (80- 95% of work time) :
- Must be able to travel up to five days a week.
- Must have a labor-intensive attitude and be capable of climbing towers, water tanks or rooftops.
- Provide superior customer service while ensuring all essential job functions are performed in a timely, efficient, accurate, and safe manner.
- Adhere to all company and industry standard / regulations (OSHA, COMTRAIN, etc.)
- Assemble / fabricate equipment and metal structures
- Comply with the health / safety programs
- Fit / weld according to drawing specifications
- Inform management of needed maintenance operations
- Inspect products and make their list
- Interpret blueprints, sketches, and diagrams
- Keep records and maintain inventory of the parts
- Maintain a neat clean work area
- Maintain punctuality and daily time records
- Observe safety reports and regulations
- Operate various types of material handlers and man lifts.
- Perform machine-to-machine material handling
- Perform preventative maintenance
- Produce metal products based on employer requirements
- Provide guidance and training to others
- Repair metal structures of different sizes
- Set up and perform welding operations
Office Duties (5- 20% of work time) :
- Read and interpret structural and architectural drawings, specifications, and design requirements related to telecommunications, commercial, residential, and light industrial applications.
- Conduct due diligence for multiple projects prior to field work.
- Review peer work product.
Qualifications :
- Current AWS (American Welding Society) certification.
- 5-7 years welding experience required; some cell tower industry experience highly preferred.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills; self-starter, team player, and results oriented.
- Must be at least 21 years old, have a valid driver’s license, and a clean driving record to operate a company vehicle.
