Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly credentialed Salesforce Technical / Application Architect to join our team on-site at the North Carolina Department of Environmental Quality (NC DEQ) in Raleigh, NC.
In this role, you will lead the end-to-end architecture, development, integration, and release management of complex, enterprise-grade Salesforce solutions. The ideal candidate will combine deep hands-on customization expertise with broad architectural oversight across integrations, DevOps pipelines, data migration, and accessibility standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Solution Architecture: Lead business process design, requirements analysis, and system architecture for enterprise Salesforce implementations using advanced architectural patterns.
• Technical Guidance amp; Mentorship: Guide, mentor, and establish best practices for software engineering teams on the appropriate and optimized use of Salesforce platform technologies.
• Core Platform Development: Hands-on design and review of custom Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), Aura components, Flows, SOQL/SOSL queries, unit tests, and Salesforce Shield implementations.
• Integration and Middleware: Oversee end-to-end API integrations, ETL data migration strategies, and enterprise application integration using MuleSoft.
• DevOps and CI/CD Pipeline: Implement and manage continuous integration and deployment workflows using Copado, GitHub, and BitBucket.
• Compliance and Mobile Architecture: Ensure all web and mobile-based platform solutions adhere to accessibility compliance (WCAG 2.1) and security best practices.

Required Qualifications and CertificationsMandatory Certifications:

• Salesforce Application Architect or Technical Architect Certification.
• Salesforce Integration Architect Certification.
• Salesforce Platform Developer II (PD2) Certification.
• Salesforce Platform App Builder Certification.
• Copado Certification.
• MuleSoft Certified Developer / Architect (MuleSoft I and II).

Mandatory Technical Experience (7+ Years):

• Salesforce Architecture and Customization: Enterprise solution design, Apex, LWC, Aura, Flows, SOQL/SOSL, Shield, and Lightning Experience.
• Object-Oriented Programming: Advanced patterns in languages including Apex, Java, JavaScript, C#, or Ruby.
• Data Migration: Enterprise ETL tools, data modeling, and migration execution strategies.
• Requirements and Design: Requirements gathering, business process analysis, and team lead experience.
• Mobile and Security: On-platform mobile solutions and security frameworks.

Mandatory Technical Experience (5+ Years):

• DevOps and Release Management: Salesforce CI/CD pipelines, Copado, GitHub, and BitBucket version control solutions.
• Compliance: Compliance with digital accessibility laws and WCAG 2.1 standards.
• Agile Execution: Agile/Scrum delivery methodologies.
