Technical Program Manager
Our client, a leading financial services organization, is seeking a Technical Program Manager to support core banking transformation initiatives. The ideal candidate will have exceptional organizational skills, strong attention to detail, Jira experience, and excellent stakeholder management abilities.
Location: Raleigh, NC (Hybrid 2 days per week): Employment Type: Rolling Contract Pay Range: $70 - $75/hr W2 (not eligible for visa sponsorship or C2C)
What's the Job?
- Lead the IT delivery program for a complex core banking conversion from legacy mainframe to modern core platforms.
- Manage multiple workstreams, ensuring seamless coordination and execution across teams and vendors.
- Act as the primary liaison between business stakeholders, system integrators, and internal IT teams to align technology solutions with business objectives.
- Oversee risk management, compliance, and audit controls to ensure regulatory adherence and project integrity.
- Coordinate integration architecture, API gateways, middleware, and messaging systems to ensure interoperability and smooth system transitions.
What's Needed?
- 8+ years of experience in technical program management within financial services or regulated environments.
- 2+ years of leading core banking conversions or major platform migrations.
- Deep understanding of mainframe environments and modern core banking platforms such as FIS, Fiserv, or Corelation.
- Proven ability to manage vendors and system integrator relationships for large-scale technology programs.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and organizational skills, with proficiency in Jira as a power user.
