Summer School English Learner (EL) Teacher
RESPONSIBILITIES
Support instruction for students in identified curriculum
Co-teach with general education teachers
Provide differentiation of content based upon needs of individual students
Participate in planning and professional learning before summer school
Collaborate with staff regarding implementation of instruction, use of assessments and assessment results, and development of differentiated curriculum
EXPERIENCE :
Experience with students from diverse backgrounds
Experience with personalized learning strategies
Experience teaching Language Arts and math to ELs
Experience teaching middle school ELs preferred
Interest in supporting students' original thinking, multiple paths to problem solving, discovery and curiosity
QUALIFICATIONS :
ESL endorsement; training in teaching reading and literacy preferred
Available to participate in professional learning activities
Must be available to attend professional development on June 28 & 29
Willing to work as part of a team
Ability to work with flexible student groupings
