We are seeking a highly-skilled CTO with a successful history in leading e-commerce company's technological sectors. This individual will be tasked with making executive technology decisions on behalf of the company, including managing a technology budget and making investments to align the company with its vision for its technological needs.

You should be a strategic thinker, an effective communicator, and an expert in technological development.

You will work directly under the owner and will act as both a technology and business expert, making decisions that will impact the current and future operations of the company.

You will guide a very talented and committed engineering team located both in the US and abroad. Your intimate knowledge of SDLC and your ability to lead engineering teams through time lines and industry trend changes to still provided high quality products will determine your success.

Your vision to set technology goals and expectation and ensuring the companies technological resources meet both the company short term and long term needs will be at the forefront of your executive decisions.

Primary Responsibilities :

  • Lead Ticketnetwork's engineering resources including project management, technical product management, application development, database development, quality assurance and IT departments.
  • Develop technical aspects of the company's strategy to ensure alignment with its business goals
  • Setting company technical vision and leading company's technological development
  • Developing strategic plans and setting time lines for evaluation, development, and deployment of all technical, web, and mobile services
  • Collaborating with department heads, marketing, production, and operations as advisor of all technologies involved with company
  • Ensuring technology standards and best practices are met
  • Establishing software development process and set objectives for process
  • Mentoring team members
  • Identifying company user software needs
  • Monitoring performance profiling tools and procedures
  • Maintaining network security with IT team
  • Reviewing timeframes and budgets
  • Developing and implementing disaster and emergency recovery plans
  • Supervising workflow of IT department
  • Defining company standards for systems, equipment, and software
  • Sharing technological visions, opportunities, and risks company-wide
  • Studying current and new industry trends, technologies, and software development
  • Studying information processing systems to evaluate effectiveness and make recommendations for improvement
  • Representing company at conferences and networking events
  • Ensuring company's technological processes and service comply with all requirements, laws, and regulations

Required Skills and Experience :

  • Strong department leader with skills in strategic planning, goal setting, processes development, budgeting, and creating opportunities for professional development within technology teams.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and strategic thinking abilities with a problem-solving aptitude.
  • Solid understanding of broad technology trends and the ability to align innovation with business goals.
  • Strong communication with ability to convey technical topics in easy-to-understand business terms and work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and external partners.
  • Strategic smarts, including the ability to identify new opportunities, drive clarity, create focus, and make tough decisions in complex and dynamic contexts.
  • Ability to track and identify new technologies to solve complex business issues.
  • 15 years working in a technological role.
  • 5 years of executive managerial experience.
  • Advanced technological skill set and a demonstrated successful history with technology deliverables.
  • Exceptional team management skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication.
  • Ability to delegate efficiently.
  • Extensive industry knowledge with an eye towards the future.

Preferred Experience :

  • Previous experience as a CTO, director, or similar leadership role.
  • Prior experience as a senior engineering leader overseeing architecture and engineering for enterprise-wide technology platforms and leading e-commerce technology platforms.
  • Broad knowledge of software engineering : languages, frameworks, techniques, and industry trends.
  • Experience leading complex, major changes and initiatives; demonstrated skills in change management on an organizational and interpersonal level;

experience with integrating teams across multiple business units and managing a geographically dispersed workforce.

Experience designing and managing an effective IT governance framework across the spectrum of IT service delivery.

Education :

  • Bachelor's degree in related field required
  • Master's degree in related field preferred

Schedule :

  • Monday-Friday, 9AM-6PM
  • As an executive of the organization the employee must be available for nights and weekends as need for business needs.
