Job Description
We are looking for a strategic leader to serve as Director of US Forecasting & Business Planning, driving key commercial processes and performance tracking in the US. This person will be a critical business partner with the US Commercial Leadership Team, finance, and senior leadership to develop forecast for the US market, link forecast ambition to business priorities / KPIs, and enable effective monitoring of these KPIs. Through the use of data, market research, forecasting, and analytics, you will lead a team that represents the commercial perspective on short‑term and long‑term outlook for the US business and tracks progress toward the outlook.
Key Responsibilities
Guide all US demand forecasting activities and processes through proactive, strategic alignment with cross‑functional stakeholders.
Provide strategic guidance and hands‑on support to your team to develop and maintain best‑in‑class forecasting methods, models, and techniques to improve efficiency and accuracy.
Leverage quantitative expertise to support the Commercial team in making key business decisions; provide proactive strategic guidance to link strategies and tactics to business outlook.
Support development of the US Commercial Scorecard to align business KPIs to the business outlook.
Support Quarterly Business Reviews to facilitate conversation on business follow‑through and track realization of the forecast aspiration.
Lead US forecasting collaboration with Global Demand Planning and Technical Operations to support the S&OP process.
Lead the US Monthly Business Review (MBR) process.
Ensure systems and processes support ongoing forecasting updates and incorporation of real‑time, novel information.
Effectively and succinctly communicate forecast updates, analytics, business development assessments, and risks to senior members of the business via meetings, presentations, and dashboards / reports.
Ensure forecasts address the impact of critical events, are logically designed and well documented in the forecast model, and represent consensus decision‑making among key stakeholders.
Basic Qualifications
Preferred Qualifications
6+ years of experience in pharmaceutical or biotech forecasting and data.
Prior experience in oncology, hematology, or rare diseases.
Deep command of a variety of problem‑solving techniques to support product and market forecasting.
Meaningful critical thinking abilities geared toward problem‑solving.
Highly self‑motivated and works independently across problem identification, designing and executing the solution, and drawing meaningful conclusions.
Quickly grasps the ‘big picture’ and links insights to larger issues.
Ability to thrive in a matrixed environment, navigate multiple priorities, delegate effectively and balance resourcing against planned and unplanned business needs.
Excellent oral, written and presentation skills with ability to explain complex concepts and findings clearly to a variety of audiences, including senior and executive personnel.
Compensation and Benefits
The salary range for this position is : $205,615.00 – $266,090.00. This position may also be eligible for a discretionary annual bonus, discretionary stock‑based long‑term incentives, paid time off, and a benefits package including medical, dental, vision, and life insurance plans.
