Here is what you will need : 5+ years of experience and / or a college degree in IT Prior experience in a Healthcare technical environment preferred Switching (Capacity Planning & VLAN’s) Routing (OSPF, RIPv2, BGP) WAN Technology (MPLS, VPLS, VPN) Voice Technologies (POTS, VoIP, SIP Trunking) Cisco CCNA / CCNP Security software such as Anti-virus, Anti-SPAM, Anti-Spyware, and other security related technologies Strong communication, critical thinking, and interpersonal skills Prior experience troubleshooting applications network performance issues.

A Day in the Life of a Network Engineer : Provide technical services and support for the following areas : Network level : WAN and LAN data and voice connectivity, routers, switches, firewalls, security, and any network related appliance.

Internal systems, cloud, and network infrastructure. Day-to- day support of Cisco Meraki Remote access solution support for all VPN Remote monitoring and management of system alerts and notifications.

Perform network assessments and security audits. Participate in the administration and maintenance of the remote monitoring and management system : update agent scripts, respond to alerts, monitor dashboard, and periodic system review.

Assist in supporting VOIP and related VOIP technologies. Document maintenance for all network infrastructure. Provides after-hours and on-call coverage for IT systems as required by IT management.
