Purchasing Manager

The highly qualified individual is responsible for planning, organizing, directing and controlling various Purchasing department employees to meet or exceed Corporate objectives.

Other responsibilities will include, but not be limited to : Estimating, Creating and Maintaining Budgets create construction budgets for residential homes and adjust those budgets as necessary to accommodate design changes, changing trades or suppliers, and managing decreases / increases.

Awarding Contracts Issue Trade Partner and Supplier Agreements, Scopes of Work, Schedule of Values and New Vendor Packages.

Handling Trade Partner and Supplier Issues provide solutions to all issues as they pertain to scopes of work, contractor, and cost-related conflicts.

Option Cost and Pricing Maintain all option costs at the community and plan level. Support Design Studio Manager as necessary to add options and adjust option sales pricing.

Maintaining Community and Plan Budgets in Enterprise One Review and updated as necessary through budget change process all budget data, supplier assignment, item master and item pricing in Enterprise One.

Monthly Cost Summary and Variance Reports Complete and update house cost summary and variance reports and all other job cost reports as requested.

Monitor and analyze cost trends or market conditions that could impact house cost Perform additional job functions deemed relevant and assigned by the Vice President of Purchasing Requirements : BS or BA, 4 year degree or equivalent work experience.

5 years home building purchasing experience with comparable responsibilities is required. Must have the ability to read and comprehend plan documents and product specifications.

Need to possess excellent organizational and planning skills, ability to communicate effectively with department teams including construction, sales, marketing, finance, purchasing and architecture.
