Job Summary

The Supervisor of Ramp Operations ensures the airside operations of the Cirrus Aircraft ramp area are safe, efficient, and a world-class operation.

This person is responsible for the entire ramp operation, to include personnel, safety, customer service, equipment, training, scheduling, and catering to guests’ needs while adhering to the Cirrus Service Culture handbook.

This position will ensure the safety of other personnel on the ramp as well as aircraft security. The Supervisor of Ramp Operations will set the tone for his or her team members by living the Cirrus Service Essentials and acting as a role model, coach, and mentor for others.

In addition to supervisory duties, this position will also be a Line Service Technician with all the responsibilities associated with that role.

Duties and Responsibilities / Essential Functions

  • Oversee recruiting, hiring, onboarding, and corrective actions for all Line Service Technicians
  • Manage scheduling and act as a mentor for all personnel
  • Act as the liaison between Ramp Operations, Flight Operations, Delivery Experience and Operations, Sales, and the Factory Service Center
  • Manage the creation, implementation, documentation, and continuous improvement of safety, onboarding, and training SOPs
  • Maintains an adequate inventory of supporting equipment for aircraft. Works with Shipping, Parts, and Purchasing to ensure equipment is in stock and available for every delivery and for daily operations.
  • Tracks and records fuel inventory and works with accounting to ensure customer fuel bills are accurate and paid in a timely manner.

Interfaces with the fuel provider to ensure adequate inventory of fuel at all times and processes invoices for payment.

  • Manages condition of delivery showrooms and aircraft hangars to ensure cleanliness and tidiness that represents the world-class Cirrus brand.
  • Works efficiently and effectively as an individual or in team settings, consisting of Cirrus employees, Cirrus customers, or outside vendors
  • Monitors weather conditions and assures that all aircraft are secured appropriately at all times.
  • Provide the highest level of safety and service possible in a dynamic and challenging work environment.
  • Oversee every aspect of aircraft readiness for guests and Flight Operations personnel. Detail aircraft, service fluids, oxygen, and tires.

Update aircraft databases and provide assistance with aircraft subscriptions. Ensure aircraft are climate-controlled and provide departure amenities for guests in a timely manner.

  • Clean and detail customer and corporate aircraft as directed per Cirrus procedures
  • Operate, maintain, and detail fuel trucks, aircraft tugs, and company vehicles.
  • Assist with new aircraft delivery preparation by ensuring aircraft are ready for delivery, moved into Delivery Center final position, arrange delivery documents and other items per Delivery SOP, and assist the Delivery Operations and Delivery Experience Team members with conducting the customer aircraft delivery process.
  • Perform other duties as requested, directed or assigned.

  • High school or equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
  • 5 years of customer service or ramp operations experience required
  • Experience operating vehicles and heavy equipment
  • Ability to pass background checks and drug tests
  • Maintain issuance of an airport security badge with driving privileges
  • Excellent customer service and written and verbal communication skills required.
  • A good understanding of Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, and Outlook is required.
  • Applicant must be able to work as part of a team, as well as individually.
  • Weekend and after-hour work may be required.
  • Applicant must possess a valid drivers’ license.
