Career Strategy Consultants is seeking an Accounting Manager for a manufacturing client near Largo, FL. This position is primarily responsible for the management of Accounting policy and ensures cross-functional departments are following in accordance. In addition, the position is the lead regarding maintenance, and reconciliation of assigned balance sheet accounts and the intermediary functions associated.
Responsibilities :
- Actively manage and reconcile cash accounts daily, provide cash forecasting based on projections, and administer positive pay.
- Oversee and process Accounts Receivables and work with the Commercial team to resolve any delinquent or past due accounts.
- Oversee and manage customer product returns.
- Process new customer credit references and provide recommendations on new customer terms.
- Manage Fixed Assets and Lease accounts and schedules in compliance with IFRS16.
- Manage Intercompany balances and other assigned accounts.
- Manage and process accruals and amortizations based on support ledgers.
- Responsible for payroll accounting and associated accruals and adjustments.
- Provide recommendations for insurance renewals and reconcile payroll deductions.
- Participate in and lead, when necessary, audits such as WC, 401K, and the annual financial audits.
- Assist with annual tax filings.
- Build monthly reporting package.
- Assist with annual budget as needed.
- Maintain financial security by establishing and adhering to robust internal controls.
- Maintain accounting controls by establishing and defining accounting policies and procedures as necessary.
- Guide other departments by researching and interpreting accounting policy and applying observations and recommendations to operational issues.
Requirements :
BS Degree or equivalent experience.Minimum 5 years of experience in Cost Accounting in a manufacturing settingExcellent verbal and written communication skills.Must be result and profit-oriented with the ability to balance other business considerations and perform multifaceted projects.Exceptional problem analysis and problem-solving skills.Understanding of US GAAP and IFRS 16.Highly motivated with the ability to function independently and multi-task.Understanding of throughput accounting.Strong attention to detail.Ability to meet deadlines.Strong business acumen.Proficiency with computer skills including MS Word, MS Excel, PowerPoint, and MS Outlook.
