Director of Project Management
The Director of Project Management is a senior leadership role responsible for overseeing the organization's project management function. This position ensures that all projects are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned with strategic business objectives. The role involves establishing standardized processes, and driving operational excellence across multiple projects.
Key responsibilities include :
- Project Oversight : Plan, implement, and manage special projects from inception to completion, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration : Coordinate with multiple departments and stakeholders to ensure effective resource allocation and timely execution.
- Compliance & Documentation : Maintain records and ensure adherence to organizational, state, and federal guidelines when applicable.
- Strategic Alignment : Align project objectives with organizational goals and stakeholder expectations.
- Process Development : Establish and maintain standardized project management frameworks, tools, and methodologies.
- Risk Management : Identify and mitigate risks across the project portfolio to ensure timely and successful completion.
- Reporting : Provide executive-level reports on project progress, risks, and outcomes; maintain transparency through dashboards and updates.
- Stakeholder Communication : Collaborate with senior leadership and cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and resolve issues.
- Continuous Improvement : Evaluate and enhance project management processes and tools for efficiency and scalability.
- Technology : Demonstrate subject matter expert expertise in electronic medical record systems.
Qualifications :
Education : Bachelor's degree in business, project management, or related field (Master's preferred).Experience : 8+ years in project management, with at least 3 years in a leadership role overseeing multiple projects.Skills :Strong leadership and team development capabilitiesExpertise in project management methodologies (PMP or equivalent certification preferred)Excellent communication and stakeholder management skillsProficiency in project management software and reporting toolsPreferred : Experience in strategic planning and change management initiatives.
