Production Line Operator
GENERAL SUMMARY
Setup, operate, or tend turning machines (windup) which turn plastic material on large spindles.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS*
Ø Ensure that layer counts are accurate
Ø Stamp cores legibly
Ø Manually lift rolls from spindles, places on scale for weighing and stacks finished rolls gaylord
Ø Ensure that empty gaylords skids are available for change when full gaylords are ready
Ø General cleaning / housekeeping
OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSABILITIES
Ø Other duties as assigned.
PREPARATION, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
Ø High school diploma, GED, or equivalent required.
Ø 0-2 years of experience.
Ø Knowledge of production processes and quality control.
WORKING CONDITIONS / PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Ø Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
Ø Ability to stand and walk for long periods
Ø Require good hand and eye coordination when working with sharp blades and box cutters
Ø Adhere to safety standards and wears personal protective equipment (safety glasses, hair nets)
Ø Factory environment, indoors, climate controlled, ventilated
Ø Exposure to loud noises
Ø Exposure to dust and vibration
Ø Potential exposure to manufacturing chemicals
Ø Exposure to machinery and mechanical moving parts
