As the Security Manager, you'll take the helm of our security program, leading initiatives to safeguard our organization's data and systems.
You'll wear multiple hats, including :
- Security Strategist : Develop, implement, and manage a comprehensive security program aligned with industry best practices and regulatory requirements.
- Vendor Management Expert : Oversee our relationship with our security operations vendor, ensuring they meet our needs and deliver effective security services.
- Contract Review Champion : Review security and privacy clauses within contracts, collaborating with our legal team to ensure alignment with our security program and legal requirements.
- Team Leader : Provide guidance and mentorship to a team member, fostering a collaborative and security-focused work environment.
- Communication Bridge : Effectively communicate security risks and initiatives to leadership, staff, and external stakeholders.
Who You Are :
- You possess 4-6 years of experience in security program management or a related cybersecurity role within a non-profit or similar environment.
- You have a strong understanding of cybersecurity frameworks, best practices, and compliance requirements.
- Experience managing and collaborating with external security vendors is a plus.
- You're comfortable reviewing legal contracts, specifically focusing on privacy and security sections, and working with legal teams to achieve compliance.
- You're a natural leader with excellent communication, collaboration, and mentorship skills.
- A passion for security awareness and a commitment to building a strong security culture are essential
