Scope of Position
The Staff Training and Development Coordinator (IRP) position in the Department of Educational Development and Resources assists in providing classroom and lab instruction to support the AHA Training Center, specifically ACLS / PALS instruction.
This is an internal resource pool position. The person is utilized when there is a need for assistance.
Position Summary
Works collaboratively with department staff members on clinical teams. Assists in providing classroom and classroom lab instruction in ACLS, PALS, BLS and other clinical training to all levels of health care providers.
Will work with Program Coordinators in scheduling needs.
Duties and Responsibilities
100% Assists in AHA / Clinical classroom and classroom lab instruction of physicians and employees as scheduling need arises.
- Customizes training according to needs of individual learners.
- Supervises learners and provides feedback in the form of individual coaching and one-on-one demonstrations.
Minimum Qualifications
RN, EMT, Paramedic, or RRT with strong clinical experience and background.
Current clinical experience or clinical instruction experience. ACLS, PALS, BLS Instructor certification required. Preferred at time of hire or obtainable within 30 days.
