TITLE : BI Application Developer II
LOCATION : Charlotte, NC
JOB SUMMARY : Gather requirements and design, develop and support new and existing business intelligence (BI) reporting solutions for our users.
Transform data into meaningful and accurate information which the business user can consume. Transform business requirements into sustainable BI solutions through the construction of MicroStrategy reports and dashboards.
Transform data into visually appealing dashboards and reports that are easily consumed. Extend reporting architecture as new areas of functionality are introduced to the warehouse in a sustainable and supportable way.
Tune mobile and desktop reporting strategy for quick access to information through efficient SQL generation or cubing and caching strategy.
Write SQL scripts against the Teradata warehouse to support analysis, discovery, and testing of reports. Optimize the way data is organized for consumption in MicroStrategy.
Support and document reports in a way that maximizes executive leadership user efficiency. Iterate and prototype key business initiatives to arrive at a finished product that aligns with executive leadership expectations.
EDUCATION / REQUIREMENTS : Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.
- 3 years of experience transforming business requirements into sustainable BI solutions through the construction of MicroStrategy reports and dashboards for visualization;
- performing Data Warehouse modeling in Teradata; writing and reading SQL, Stored Procedure, and functionality of software utilizing Teradata SQL Assistant and Studio;
and performing data validation and report testing using SQL and testing report solutions. 2 years of experience utilizing Cable Domain.
