Orbitalum North America (GmbH), an Illinois Tool Works Company, is a recognized world leader in the manufacture and distribution of high purity cutting, facing, and specialized orbital welding equipment, belonging to the welding segment of our parent company, Illinois Tool Works.

We are currently seeking a Shipping and Receiving Clerk for our product line based in Carol Stream, IL.

The Shipping & Receiving Clerk will keep records of all goods shipped and received. They also be responsible for maintaining records, preparing shipments, sorting packages, and accepting deliveries.

Job Description

• Responsible for the shipping and receiving function which includes maintaining records by entering all received shipments into system
• Prepare shipments, sort packages, and accept deliveries. This includes unloading freight
• Schedule freight pickups and deliveries. Ensure competitive shipping rates on all pickups
• Resolve customer shipping complaints
• Fulfill sales orders by picking parts, packaging, labeling and shipping required parts
• Work with other departments to ensure efficiency and timeliness of shipping and receiving function
• Responsible for keeping equipment and work area clean and orderly
• Adhere and comply with state and federal law, the ISO Quality program and procedures, and the safety program
• Willing to flex between departments within company
• Additional duties and tasks as assigned

Qualifications

• At least 6-12 months of relevant shipping and receiving experience
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Aptitude with computers and office software, ability and willingness to learn our in-house software suite
• Strong problem-solving, organization and time-management skills with the ability to work independently
• Must be resourceful and have a high attention to detail
• Must be able to adjust to a changing work environment, competing demands, frequent changes, delays and unexpected events
• Ability to work overtime as required

• This job requires sitting, standing, bending, walking, pushing, pulling and stretching
• Ability to lift and / or move up to 50lbs.
