President and CEO of Catholic Charities Archdiocese of New Orleans
The President & CEO is responsible for managing a large multi-program health and human services agency under the auspices of the Archdiocese of New Orleans.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities :
- The position requires an in-depth knowledge of nonprofit health and human service providers. It also requires that ability to analyze, monitor, and control a budget in excess of $50,000,000.
- The President & CEO should have the organizational and managerial skills to oversee the collaborative working relationship of 29 diverse programs and 450 staff members.
- She / he must have advanced leadership skills that motivate Board members, volunteers, and staff to maximize their potential.
- She / he should have the ability to effectively communicate with staff, volunteers, the leadership of the Archdiocese, funding sources, and local, state, and national partner organizations.
- The President & CEO must have the ability to effectively negotiate funding and service contracts with an array of funding entities.
Minimum Qualifications :
- The President & CEO must be a practicing Catholic with an understanding of and an appreciation for the leadership structure of the Roman Catholic Church.
- A college degree is required, and a master's degree is strongly preferred.
- The President & CEO must have a minimum of ten years of senior management experience in a health and human services agency with direct responsibility for managing annual budgets in excess of $5 million.
- The President & CEO must have experience in fundraising and a proven record of success in securing major gifts and negotiating contracts and grants.
