Join CEDA as an Administrative Services Clerk
Location : On-site – Central Office, Chicago
Type : Full-Time, Non-Exempt
Salary : $18 / hour
CEDA (Community and Economic Development Association) is a leading nonprofit organization committed to empowering communities and improving lives across Cook County. We are currently seeking a detail-oriented Administrative Services Clerk to join our Energy Services Department . This role supports the administration of vital programs such as LIHEAP, LIHWAP, and UBR, ensuring accurate documentation and data processing to help residents access essential utility assistance.
What You’ll Do :
As an Administrative Services Clerk, you will play a key role in the processing, organization, and management of both digital and physical documents. You’ll handle sensitive client data, assist with intake documentation, and support administrative operations to keep our programs running efficiently.
Accurately enter data into CEDA, State of Illinois, and other program databases
File and organize digital and physical documents in compliance with program guidelines (LIHEAP, LIHWAP, UBR, etc.)
Sort and classify files using numerical application ID systems (up to 15 digits)
Update and maintain client records in web-based systems
Identify and report document trends or errors to the Administrative Services Team and program leadership
Provide support for administrative projects such as mass mailings and print jobs
Work independently and as part of a collaborative team
Handle all confidential materials with discretion and professionalism.

What We’re Looking For : Required :
High school diploma or GED.
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, SharePoint, Teams).
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred :
1 year of experience in Energy Assistance Programs or a related social service setting.
Associate degree in a related field.
