The Role : HCL BigFix is looking for a Lead Software Engineer I to actas a Site Reliability Engineer to work on infrastructure for anew product that will help keep our customers end pointssecure.
You will be a part of a team that leverages moderntechnological solutions to drive growth and efficiency. Yourdaily responsibilities will be centered on HCL BigFix s cloudinfrastructure, with daily tasks related to improvingscalability, reliability, and observability.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background insoftware engineering and system administration, with aproficiency in modern infrastructure tools (e.
g.,Kubernetes, Docker, AWS / GCP / Azure), with a passion fordesigning, implementing, and maintaining reliable andscalable systems.
On-call duties are involved in this role. What You'll Do Collaborate with development andoperations teams to design, implement, andmaintain scalable and reliable infrastructuresolutions.
Implement and manage monitoring,alerting, and logging systems to ensureproactive identification and resolution ofissues.
Work on the automation of infrastructureprovisioning. Perform regular system and applicationperformance analysis, tuning, and capacityplanning.
Ensure cost efficiency and efficacy ofcomplex, multi-cloud product and tackleongoing cost minimization efforts. Ensure the availability of new and existingdeveloper tools.
Drive the migration of large-scale,distributed diagnostics applications towardscloud-native microservices. Analyze and plan for capacity managementand lead infrastructure change management forcloud-based services.
Work with SWE counterparts to identify andmitigate production issues. Document and implement failover / disasterrecovery plans.
Participate in code reviews and contributeto technical architecture documents. Participate in team on-call rotations. (1.
