Job Purpose
The position is responsible for being self-motivated and self-functioning in the retaining and servicing of existing clients and to support the Producers with attaining their new business production objectives.
Will be required to self-manage work time and task execution. Will be responsible for making timely decisions and follow our structured renewal, marketing, sales and interim service processes.
Job Duties
- Set and meet attainable renewal retention goals.
- Initiate renewal process with existing clients.
- Cross sell additional lines to existing clients and make referrals both internally and across all lines of business.
- Opportunities to accompany Producers on sales calls to build and foster client relationships while gathering detailed underwriting information, prepare applications and assist with selecting potential markets.
- Oversee and monitor interim marketing activities with Producer and Commercial Account Manager if one is assigned to the account team.
- Assist with preparing formal proposals, assure coverage adequacy, accompany Producer for presentation and / or give presentations unaccompanied based on risk expertise and comfort level.
- Daily maintenance of automated systems consisting primarily of Applied Epic and Microsoft Outlook.
- Educate clients concerning finance options and cancellation procedures.
- Provide client service, as needed, including policy changes and collection oversight.
- Opportunity to sell new business earning new and renewal commissions.
- Will perform special projects as assigned.
Education, Experience and Job Skills
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience.
- Minimum of five years of previous insurance experience as a Commercial Account Manager, Account Executive, or Producer is mandatory.
- Must have an active Property & Casualty insurance license.
- Candidates must possess the required technical insurance and computer-based knowledge to manage a significant client portfolio efficiently and professionally.
- Must demonstrate the organizational disciplines to perform the required tasks in a timely, accurate fashion; and assist Producer in achieving sales goals.
- Must be self-motivated with the ability to complete tasks and meet required deadlines with minimal supervision.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment with a high degree of accuracy and close attention to detail.

Basic Qualifications
