Hexcel is currently seeking a Document Control Specialist for our Kent, WA, USA location.

Summary pay range : $43,755 - $75,009 annual salary.

The selected individual will be responsible for but not limited to the following obligations :

  • Administer certified operator testing, according to our customer requirements. Coordinate an annual review of on-the-job testing material.
  • Flexibility regarding work hours. Production currently has five shifts, and you will need to work hours that accommodate employees’ availability to test.
  • Regular and timely communication with production employees, production supervisors, and other support functions within the organization.
  • Write and format internal policies, procedures, and instructions on a standardized template, including embedded hyperlinks.

Maintain the SmarTeam database for revision control of internal and external documents, which include engineering documents, drawings, parts lists, specifications, and technical correspondence (approval letters, tech help).

  • File and archive records, according to retention schedules. Arrange storage and retrieval with vendor, as necessary.
  • Maintain SharePoint libraries for revision control and traceability (as required) of internal and external documents, including company policies, procedures, instructions, forms, labels;

specifications and standards; and tests.

  • Configure files for large scale printing (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, PDF, and image files).
  • Collect, prepare, and scan quality records with the KnowledgeLake or M-files document imaging application. Records may include receiving, planning, and shipping documentation.

Qualifications :

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in document control related field highly preferred. Equivalent combination of related education and experience can be considered.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, ability to work effectively with different groups.
  • Proficient and confident in using Microsoft 365 is a plus and highly preferred. (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Publisher, and Teams)
  • High degree of attention to detail and ability to plan, manage time and multitask effectively.
  • Demonstrates initiative and is self-directed.
  • Ability to lift 20 pounds and climb stairs.
  • Experience with a document imaging application preferred (preferably KnowledgeLake or M-files).
  • Microsoft SharePoint and InfoPath experience preferred, including managing permissions plus creating libraries, lists, columns, and views.
