The Mobile Welder will be responsible for production welding, service & repair welding, prototype building and fitter welding in a high paced production environment.
This role will work with supervisors to ensure continuous improvements in work cells, hitting quotas, welding according to pre-set parameters using MIG, ARC and TIG welding processes.

Responsibilities
- Conduct repairs, modifications and retrofits
- Conduct technical inspections
- Fabrication of custom prototypes from supplied drawings, fabrication of custom jigs and fixtures
- Perform maintenance on returned products to be refurbished or re-worked to customer specifications
- Keep detailed and accurate reports and documentation
- Operate manual or semi automatic flame cutting equipment
- Operate brazing and soldering equipment
- Operate angle grinders to prepare the parts that must be welded
- Repair machinery and other components
- Test and inspect welded surfaces and structure to discover flaws
- Maintain equipment in a condition that does not compromise safety
- Conduct project review and planning
- Fuel tank and card lock repairs
Education & Experience
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- College or post secondary education is preferred
- AWS D1.1 SMAW Certification required
- Previous experience in Heavy Truck, Automotive or related industry experience preferred
Other Skills and Abilities Required
- Ensure compliance of all OHSA regulations, as well as Rush's Heath and Safety
- Assist in development or repair estimates
- Maintain a working knowledge of changes in technology, compliance and repair techniques
- Strong interpersonal skills and customer focused
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently in a busy environment
- Experience with routine maintenance operations
- Able to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing
- Strong attention to detail
- Must be willing to travel
