As part of the Phillips Tube Group , we are expanding our automation capabilities to meet strategic growth goals, and we’re looking for a Mechanical / Process Engineer to join our Innovation Team. This is a high-impact, newly created role supporting our commitment to automation—focusing on inspection systems, material conveyance, packaging, and more. You’ll be at the forefront of transforming ideas into functional plant-floor processes while collaborating across engineering, production, and leadership.

What You’ll Do

• Research and present automation strategies to Senior Leadership and the Board
• Develop and support implementation of automated systems across inspection, packaging, conveyance, and warehouse functions
• Manage project schedules, vendor comparisons, budgets, and maintenance programs
• Assess long-term upgrade needs with Maintenance and Production leadership
• Provide hands-on engineering design, documentation updates, and CAD / CAM modeling
• Solve real-time challenges in mechanical design and systems performance
• Travel occasionally to support multi-site automation initiatives
• Ensure technical documentation is up to date and confidential projects are secured
