Applications Engineer - REMOTE & TRAVEL

This position will have about 50% travel, covering Northeast states.
NTN Bearing Corporation of America (NBCA) is a major division of a multinational bearing manufacturing company providing highly engineered and quality precision components to the automotive and industrial markets.
NTN has an immediate opening for an Applications Engineer in the Industrial Aftermarket group. This role provides technical support and solutions for a customer base in our northeast region.
Job Description :
As part of the Aftermarket division, you'll work closely with territory managers across the Northeast, servicing and selling bearings to various industries.
This role entails hands-on troubleshooting in manufacturing plants, fostering customer relationships, and occasional travel.
This opportunity will be fully remote from his / her home with a target location in Richmond, VA, Baltimore, MD, Pittsburgh, PA, or anywhere else nearby.
This role will be expected to travel about 50% of the time.
Desired Qualifications :
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering is preferred. (Or anything related like Mechanical Engineering Technology, Manufacturing Engineering, etc.)
- Industry experience to support Food & Beverage, Logistics, Oil & Gas, Metals, Machine Tool, Mining, and Paper markets or related
- 3+ years engineering experience.
- Experience being HANDS ON with production equipment.
- Experience in the rolling bearing industry experience is preferred.
- Knowledge and application of appropriate industry standards and manufacturing processes.
- Industry experience to support Food & Beverage, Logistics, Oil & Gas, Metals, Machine Tool, Mining, and Paper markets.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Ability to perform detailed technical analysis of customer applications, offer product recommendations and aid in the design process.
- Live close to major airport
- Willingness to travel 50%
