Engineering teams are responsible for the programming of automated robot systems for customer applications and processes.

Duties may include and are not limited to detailed robot programming, offline programming, virtual commissioning, system commissioning, onsite support, internal / external training, and technical consultation.

This position may require 100% travel. The candidate must be willing to perform hands on robot programming on the customer’s floor.

  • Basic knowledge of designing programming simulation and testing automated machinery.
  • Ability to read controls hardware drawings and mechanical sequence of operations.
  • Basic electrical, pipefitting and mechanical building knowledge would be a plus.
  • Ability to troubleshoot manifold, water saver and other peripherals and configure them to communicate with the robot.
  • Understanding of safe robot concepts ex. DCS for Fanuc.
  • Mechanical engineering skills including dynamics and kinematicsManufacturing Process : Spot Welding / MIG Welding / MH / Seal / Adhesive / Hemming / Laser Welding / Brazing / Nut runner / VisionProgramming skills : Tool Center Point / User Frame / Configuration / Continuous motion / Motion types / Cartesian coordinates / Knowledge of basic motion programming languagesRobot programming experience on 2 or more different robot controllers, KUKA is a must : FANUC / RJ3 / ABB / S4CPlus / IRC5 / KUKA / KRC2 / KRC4 / COMAU / C5G / NACHI / AX Spot / AW Spot / KAWASAKI / MOTOMANGeneral Programming skills a plus : Visual Basic / C / Assembly / C # / C ++ / Pascal / Python / Java / XML / HTMLComputer skills
  • MS Office - Advanced skills of MS Excel, SharePoint, Basic knowledge in project management Tools, CSVAdditional InformationIndustrial Communication : Configuration, setup, troubleshooting and protocol analysis of the following interfaces : Ethernet-IP;

  • Simulation Software - Siemens Process Simulate (RobCAD)
  • Offline Programming on Siemens PS
  • Auto debug on Siemens PS
  • Offline Program upload
  • Maintain strong lines of communication internally and with the customer
  • Create or modify software files as needed
  • Work with the simulation department for solutions and to eliminate foreseeable issues
  • Ability to run a finished assembly line with minimal to no help
  • Ability to handle stressful situations calmly and professionallyEducation and Experience :
  • Community college Diploma or higher, in the field of Automation or Robotics
