Position Summary

UNM Information Technologies is looking for a Salesforce Administrator to join a dynamic support team to enhance student success at the University of New Mexico using the University's CRM (Constituent Relationship Management) solution, Salesforce.

The Salesforce Administrator will be responsible for the day-to-day management and support for the University's CRM (Constituent Relationship Management) solution, Salesforce.

The administrator will be responsible for configuring, customizing, and maintaining the platform, ensuring data integrity, and enhancing the user experience.

They will work closely with third-party vendors and collaborate with cross-functional teams for their specific needs within the context of the shared Salesforce instance.

The successful applicants will have good communication skills, expertise in one or multiple CRM application development / integration / automation, and a clear sense of customer service.

A thorough understanding of the values, practices, security, and procedures found in a higher education environment, and a commitment to mentoring and developing technical staff are also desirable.

Job Responsibilities :

  • Develop System Configuration to meet specific needs and align with goals.
  • Manage user access, profiles, and roles to ensure appropriate access to data and functionality.
  • Enforce data governance and data retention policies.
  • Create workflow and automation rules, building and streamlining business processes and data management.
  • Report and Dashboard development and maintenance with real-time insights into data and performance metrics.
  • Security and Compliance management to ensure data security settings, access controls, and data sharing rules adhere to policies.
  • Train and support users for Salesforce features.
  • Serve as technical support to resolve user issues.
  • Manage releases including updates, patches, and new feature rollouts, ensuring minimal disruption to departmental operations.

Coordinate integrations, including collaborating with Salesforce Developer to oversee and manage integrations and ensure data synchronization and a unified view of customers and operations.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree;at least 1 year of progressively responsible experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.

Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution and / or experience that is directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified may be interchangeable on a year-for-year basis.

Preferred Qualifications

Asdemonstrated by supporting documentation (cover letter, resume) :

  • Knowledge and experience with Salesforce CRM and / or TargetX.
  • Knowledge and experience with middleware integration platforms (Boomi, Mulesoft, or Informatica).
  • Knowledge and experience with web front-end development (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React).
  • Understanding of application integration strategies and techniques, theories, principles, and practices including experience with various integration mechanisms.
  • Functional and technical experience with system and data integration / architecture including design and development of ETL, API (REST and SOAP), MDM, B2B EDI, microservice, and workflow automation.
  • Experience with DevSecOps including its principles, code versioning, continuous integration, and continuous deployment / delivery.
  • Experience with all aspects of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) including application design, configuration, customization, integration, testing and support including, but not limited to, gathering requirements, designing the future state solution, the development objects related to their process scope, as well as supporting testing and post implementation support.
  • Ability to obtain results and add value to the organization by being accessible to and supportive of others, setting clear goals and monitoring goals' progress, and making timely and sound decisions and influencing others.
  • Strong written and oral communication and presentation skills (able to communicate ideas with senior personnel, able to create and deliver persuasive web architectures and models, able to gain consensus, etc.).
