Financial Planner/Client Advisor
Job Description
We are currently seeking qualified candidates to join Carnegie Investment Counsel (CIC) as a Financial Planner / Client Advisor in our Cleveland Office.
The Financial Planner / Client Advisor will join a highly talented team of wealth management professionals who service the needs of high-net worth individuals, families and institutions.
The successful candidate will have a demonstrated track record of educational achievement and an interest in pursuing a career in the Registered Investment Adviser industry.
The position will entail providing technical and client service support for Portfolio Managers and / or Client Advisors.
Responsibilities include preparation and follow-up on client meetings, data gathering, financial planning, scenario modeling, and presentation development.
Responsibilities
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following :
- Provide comprehensive sound financial plans for clients to ensure they meet their changing needs and goals
- Maintain updated knowledge of industry developments, policies, regulations and strategies.
- Examine and suggest financial opportunities, implement risk management, develop retirement and tax plans
- Work directly with Portfolio Managers and Client advisors to gather data, provide plan analysis, package and post meeting materials, manage meeting notes and action items
Qualifications / Skills
- In-depth knowledge and understanding of the securities industry
- Highly proficient technical skills with the ability to analyze quantitative and qualitative information
- Working knowledge of eMoney software or other planning tools
- Ability to make effective decisions using impeccable ethical judgment and confidentiality
- Collaborative team player with excellent verbal and written communication skills with both co-workers and clients
- Self-starter who is detailed oriented, results driven, accurate, organized and ability to set priorities
- Desire to engage in continuous education in the field to ensure current industry knowledge and skills
