Great! We’re looking for top talent to grow with our firm. Responsibilities What you'll be challenged to do : TranSystems is currently seeking a Landscape Architect Intern to join our Land Development division in our Raleigh, NC office.

This individual will work collaboratively in a team setting on the development of conceptual designs, production of construction drawings, permitting and on-site construction administration.

Candidate must be highly motivated and a self-starter. The Landscape Architect Student Intern will work on an extensive range of consulting and design projects across multiple markets including residential, mixed-use, commercial, parks and recreation, economic development, environmental, education, transportation, aviation, and municipal clients.

These projects may include greenways, streetscapes, gateways, K-12, athletic facilities, entry features, and innovative stormwater concepts.

The candidate will assist in many aspects of design, including site analysis, conceptual design, construction plan development, and specifications where applicable.

Portfolio or work samples will be required if considered for an interview. Candidates should have strong organizational skills and possess excellent communication skills.

  • Essential Functions. Site development including grading design; Prepare detailed landscape and hardscape plans, and construction details;
  • Prepare layout studies, yield studies, and parking studies for commercial / residential; Prepare development plans to support Rezoning and / or Special Exception applications;

Working within design teams to develop detailed design documents for construction plans; Assist with code research and written specifications.

Qualifications What you bring to our firm : Pursuing degree in a Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Landscape Architecture from an ABET-accredited university program required Excellent written and verbal communication skills Contributes proactively to a project team.

Excellent freehand illustration and rendering skills for both plan and perspective sketches Experience with AutoCAD and Microsoft office is required Strong interpersonal, organizational, and verbal and written communication skills.

Actively engages multiple perspectives when solving problems, seeks to learn from peers, and encourages reciprocal learning among team members.

What we prefer you bring to the firm : Graphics and mapping software exposure ( GIS / ArcView, Adobe Creative Suite software, Sketchup, Civil 3D, and / or LandFX) Completed 2 years of design education prior to the start of the internship Previous internship experience is a plus Goal oriented with strong skills in problem solving, creativity, and attention to detail Ability to work individually, as well as in a team environment Featured Benefits : Hybrid (in-person and remote) work environment.
