Description
We are seeking a GIS Intern who will be responsible for assisting the Intelli-Fiber Project Team working within our Esri-based GIS platform.
This position requires a self-driven, motivated individual who is willing to collaborate and work within a team atmosphere.
Both full-time and part-time candidates will be considered.
Key Responsibilities
- Complete assigned GIS tasks for designs to include performing quality control reviews and ensuring accuracy and consistency with designs.
- Updating and maintaining computer-generated data and mapping systems to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and completeness of information.
- Identify publicly available municipal, county, state, and federal datasets.
- Other tasks as assigned by manager / supervisor.
Qualifications
- Candidates working towards a college or technical degree in GIS preferred.
- Some experience with GIS tools and ArcGIS tools a plus.
- Experience in the Telecommunications industry a plus.
- Detail-oriented and enjoys working in online mapping systems to complete work.
- Hardworking and self-driven, and comfortable working in a team environment.
- Interest or experience in learning tools and technologies.
- Able to meet goals and deadlines.
- Follow directions as outlined by the manager and ask clarifying questions when needed.
