Job Description

EAG Laboratories is seeking a Technician to join our SIMS (Secondary Ion Mass Spectrometry) team located in Sunnyvale, CA.

In this position, you will work closely with Ph.D. Scientists on a daily basis and support the SIMS team by preparing samples and equipment for analyses.

Work Schedule : M-F, 8am-5pm

This role is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) : all accepted applicants must be U.S. Persons as defined by ITAR : U.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, Associate, or Bachelor's degree in Materials Science, Physics or Electrical Engineering.
• Experience with wet chemistry etching or mechanical polishing is a plus.
• Excellent communication skills - understand detailed instructions and communicate effectively.
• Able to lift up to 30 lbs.
• Computer literate, high level of accuracy, and detail oriented.
• Able to handle multiple functions at the same time and maintain good organizational skills.

Physical Requirements :

• Ability to continuously operate a personal computer or lab equipment for extended periods of time (4 or more hours).
• Ability to operate a keyboard and other lab equipment, use a telephone, access file cabinets and other items stored at various levels, including overhead
• Ability to communicate clearly and understandably ensure an accurate exchange of information in normal conversational distance, over the telephone, and in a group setting.
• Ability to handle small and fragile devices with tweezers and / or fingers.
• Require close distance visual acuity with or without correction (Glasses, Contacts, etc.)
• Learn new tasks, remember processes, maintain focus, complete tasks independently, make timely decisions in the context of a workflow, ability to communicate with visitors, ability to complete tasks in situations that have a speed or productivity quota.
• Must be able to remain in a stationary position 80% of the time.
• Ability to move equipment or items up to 30 lbs.

Additional Information

Compensation Range : $22.50 - $31.75 / hr. (Pay rate will commensurate with experience and degree of technical expertise.)
