Overview

The Managing Director is an experienced level lending position primarily focused on middle market lending. This position is expected to meet loan production goals in addition to promoting other bank products and deposits.

This position must exercise sound judgement and maximize returns in conjunction with strict adherence to internal, state and federal guidelines.

Responsibilities

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :

Achieve loan production goals, to include :

  • Implementing an ongoing marketing plan to include making direct sales calls to prospects and customers
  • Active involvement within the community and related trade groups
  • Originating and underwriting loans, preparing the submission package and presenting for approval
  • Working with internal partners and external parties to close the loan
  • Responsible for ongoing loan servicing, including monitoring construction loans
  • Maintaining accurate and up to date credit and collateral files
  • Originate deposit accounts and cross sell other bank products and services
  • Generate fee and other interest income
  • Achieve profitability by properly structuring and pricing loans and facilitating other services
  • Achieve credit quality goals related to :
  • Past due and maturing loans
  • Loan losses and deposit overdrafts
  • Criticized assets and loans
  • Documentation exceptions
  • Consumer compliance
  • Perform other related duties as assigned

Qualifications

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES :

  • High School Diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's Degree with business focus preferred
  • 5+ years in commercial lending with a focus on commercial and industrial lending is preferred
  • Sales / business development skills and experience in the financial services industry
  • Working knowledge of accounting, financial analysis, and loan underwriting
  • Personal skills, ability to work with, motivate and manage people
  • Organized and disciplined work ethic
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Advanced level of customer service skills
  • Knowledge of Federal laws and regulations involving commercial and consumer
  • Ability to analyze a credit application for completeness and for documents needed on all types of loans
