Onward Search is a specialized staffing and talent solutions company that helps professionals find top jobs with the nation’s leading brands. We’re looking for a Front End Web Developer to join our client’s dynamic team onsite in Los Angeles, CA. In this role, you’ll collaborate closely with the digital marketing and tech teams to drive innovative web solutions. Your expertise in WordPress and GatsbyJS / React will be pivotal in enhancing our client’s digital presence.
This is an exciting opportunity to work on impactful projects, from optimizing data storage in WordPress page builders to migrating to GatsbyJS using NetlifyCMS. You’ll also explore alternative CMS solutions, refine performance, and contribute to high-quality, scalable code.
Front End Web Developer Responsibilities :
Leverage your deep understanding of WordPress fundamentals to optimize data storage within page builders.
Offer strategic migration recommendations to streamline processes and improve efficiency.
Provide technical insights to reduce build times and enhance performance.
Utilize GatsbyJS effectively to meet scaling requirements.
Conduct code cleanups and refactor components to ensure optimal functionality.
Assist in completing the migration from WordPress to GatsbyJS using NetlifyCMS for the initial phase.
Explore and recommend alternative CMS solutions, including Contentful, GraphCMS, and Forestry.io.
Front End Web Developer Qualifications :
Proficient in web technologies such as HTML5, JavaScript, CSS3, SASS / SCSS, and Bootstrap.
Experience with SEO-driven WordPress to GatsbyJS migrations in both English and Spanish.
Basic knowledge of PHP, JSON handling, and WordPress development, particularly within functions.php.
Familiarity with Git (GitHub) for version control, debugging, and maintaining clean, well-documented code.
Strong communication skills, with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Adherence to modern web standards, including OOCSS, BEM, and SMACSS.
