Position Summary
Experienced professional
Civil Engineer fully trained and competent to ensure high productivity in conventional aspects and functions of
civil, structural, and/or transmission line engineering. Plans, schedules, conducts, coordinates, and directs detailed projects of moderate scope or portions of a major project. Work requires sound judgment and broad knowledge of standards and precedents in civil/structural/line engineering, plus awareness of the electrical engineering aspects of transmission line engineering.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, schedule, conduct, coordinate, and direct detailed engineering projects of moderate scope or portions of a major project.
- Apply sound judgment and established standards/precedents in civil, structural, and transmission line engineering.
- Coordinate civil/structural/line engineering activities with awareness of transmission line electrical engineering considerations.
Required Education & Preferred Credentials
- BS or MS in Civil Engineering from an accredited institution.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license: desirable.
- Membership in professional/technical societies: desirable.
Required / Desired Skills & Tools
- Demonstrated experience with:
- Electronic spreadsheets
- Standard structural engineering software
- Line engineering software
- Computer-aided drafting (CAD) software
Additional Requirements (as applicable)
- Must be willing to work in the field and climb structures as needed.
