Salary: $70,000 - 175,000 per year

Requirements:

• We require a bachelors degree in computer science or a closely related field.
• We can consider junior, mid, or senior candidates, with at least 1 year of experience on a project of similar scope or complexity, or no experience if the candidate holds a masters or doctoral degree.
• We need experience with software programming and scripting in C++, Python, Bash, and object-oriented programming environments.
• We require U.S. citizenship and an active DoD Secret clearance with an investigation date within the last 6 years.
• We require the ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret and Special Access Program clearance within a reasonable timeframe.
• We are looking for a mission-driven professional who collaborates effectively and is motivated to develop advanced solutions in support of national and global security.
• Preferred candidates will bring experience with RTOS, Linux, or VxWorks, as well as anti-tamper technologies such as cryptography, secure communications, logging, and software deployment.
• We prefer experience with CI/CD tools and workflows such as GitLab, GitHub, Azure, Jenkins, or Nexus.
• We value experience working through the full SDLC in a structured software development environment.
• We prefer experience with automated testing, including unit and integration testing.
• We prefer familiarity with USAF nuclear surety standards such as DO-178C, AFMAN 91-119, and DO-330.
• We prefer experience with test frameworks, application/system verification, containers, Atlassian tools such as JIRA and Confluence, JAVA/JS, real-time processing, software safety under Mil-STD-882E, CMake, Agile methods, and Security+ certification.

Responsibilities:

• We assign our software engineers to an Agile Scrum Team supporting the Command & Launch segment and the Command & Control Embedded Software Team.
• We support the full software development lifecycle, with emphasis on planning, requirements analysis, design, coding, and testing.
• We develop and maintain the technical software requirements baseline to stay aligned with program goals and objectives.
• We collaborate on agile software requirements development and help teammates grow in critical program efforts.
• We support technical execution for major program events across the program portfolio.
• We help address high-level systems challenges and contribute to delivering the overall technical plan within the integrated master schedule.
• We drive strategic initiatives involving tools, processes, and cross-segment technical reviews, bringing technical rigor to technical interchange meetings.
• We work with subject matter experts, analysts, architects, designers, system engineers, and specialty engineers to capture Sentinel node structure and behavior using SysML/UML frameworks.
• We apply engineering principles and applicable standards to design components and systems, including model-based systems engineering.
• We help prepare technical content for presentations to internal and external stakeholders.
• We maintain software design documentation and follow configuration management requirements.
• We support software requirement decomposition, derivation, and traceability.
