Job Description

THE OPPORTUNITY

Silvus is seeking a full-time Embedded Software Engineer to join our Software Engineering team. The position is located at Silvus headquarters in the heart of vibrant West Los Angeles CA and is on a hybrid schedule a minimum of 3 days onsite per week is expected. On-site days are Mondays Wednesdays and Thursdays.

The following is a list of at least some of the current essential job functions of the position. Management may assign or reassign duties and responsibilities at any time at its discretion.

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Implementation of the software portion of MAC (Medium Access Control) and mobile ad-hoc networking routing protocols.
• Network management software and web interface implementation.
• Implementation of different security protocols and encryption algorithms.
• Audio streaming and push-to-talk voice application implementation.
• Analyze and improve product security and robustness to meet certain regulatory requirements such as NIST FIPS 140-3 and NIAP Common Criteria.
• Implementation of testing software for product performance and reliability testing.
• Device driver and board support package development and maintenance for both ARM and RISC-V based systems.
• Linux system customization and scripting.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

COMPENSATION : $48.08 - $67.31 / hourly

The pay range is NOT a guarantee is based on market research and peer data and will vary depending on the candidates experience and qualifications.
