Global Service Resources is looking for a contractor in Los Angeles.

Job Title: Senior Software Engineer
Location: Downey, CA 90242
Shift: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Assignment type: Temporary (12 months w/ high chance of extension or hire)
Pay rate: $75-$80/hour

Description:
  • Lead development, enhancement, and support of County applications serving hundreds of users.
  • Manage multiple application support and software development projects.
  • Design and develop secure, scalable web applications and RESTful APIs.
  • Build solutions using C#, .NET, Java, Spring Boot, Ruby on Rails, JavaScript, Angular, React, and related technologies.
  • Design, optimize, and maintain relational databases and data models.
  • Lead Agile project activities, including user stories, sprint planning, and stakeholder reporting.
  • Plan and execute application migrations while ensuring data integrity and feature parity.
  • Support containerized environments, CI/CD pipelines, and Git-based source control.
  • Collaborate across teams and communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Qualifications:
  • 5+ years (within the last 7 years) of application development experience in object-oriented programming, client-side scripting, mobile development, Apple development, and relational databases.
  • 3+ years (within the last 7 years) delivering features in Agile environments and participating in Agile ceremonies.
  • 2+ years developing and supporting BI reports (Power BI, Crystal Reports, Cognos).
  • 1+ year professional experience with Git version control and branching strategies.
  • 1+ year providing on-site support for custom or commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) systems.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (experience may substitute on a year-for-year basis).
