The basics of this position :

Fall Semester 2024 Designs and teaches introductory and advanced English language courses, with an emphasis on college-level language literacy competencies.

What you'll do :

Designs and teaches introductory and advanced English language courses, with an emphasis on college-level language literacy competencies;

involved in interdisciplinary collaboration; and commits to ongoing program, course, and department assessment and evaluation.

Other duties expected of a part-time faculty may include committee work, ability to teach a flexible schedule, advising and / or mentoring students, and participation in the intellectual life of the department and college.

Education, experience, and other requirements :

Master's degree in the subject field or a master's degree with at least eighteen (18) approved graduate semester hours in the subject field and related fields.

Preferred Qualifications :

Commitment to technology in instruction; experience with diverse learners; knowledge of current adult learning theories; prefer two years teaching experience at secondary or post-secondary levels;

mentoring developmental, alternative learners; and the ability to effectively employ and interpret diagnostic techniques.
