We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team in Plano, Texas. In this role, you will manage high-volume invoice processing and ensure accuracy in financial transactions across multiple locations. The ideal candidate will bring strong critical thinking skills, advanced Excel proficiency, and the ability to take initiative in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities :

• Process a high volume of invoices monthly, ensuring accuracy and coding to the correct general ledger accounts.
• Manage financial transactions across multiple locations, including purchase order processing and invoice approvals.
• Handle vendor communications, resolve inquiries, and maintain updates in the accounts payable inbox.
• Set up new vendors and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
• Utilize advanced Excel functions such as pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, and SUMIFs to create detailed spreadsheets and reports for senior leadership.
• Export and analyze data from accounts payable systems, breaking down information into meaningful insights.
• Contribute to the implementation and optimization of accounts payable software, including handling ad hoc projects.
• Take ownership of assigned tasks and proactively identify areas for improvement in processes.
• Collaborate with a small accounts payable team to ensure timely and accurate completion of workflows.
• A minimum of 2 years of experience in accounts payable or a related field.
• Proficiency in processing invoices and managing general ledger coding.
• Experience handling high-volume transactions, ideally around 1,000 invoices monthly.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify discrepancies and resolve issues efficiently.
• Advanced knowledge of Excel, including pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, and SUMIF functions.
• Familiarity with accounts payable systems such as Stampli, Concur, or Dynamics 365 Business Central.
• Excellent communication skills for vendor management and team collaboration.
• Ability to take initiative and ownership of responsibilities in a dynamic work environment.
