Job description

Join Te Whatu Ora at a key time of change where you will meaningfully contribute to our kaupapa of creating a more equitable, accessible, cohesive and people-centred health system. This is mahi that will improve the health and wellbeing of everyone in Aotearoa, and we've got an opportunity for you to be part of it.

Te whiwhinga mahi | The Opportunity

The Integration and Delivery team has a clear mission: to provide robust support and continuous improvement to both existing and new applications, spanning clinical and corporate realms. Our focus is on optimising workflow, ensuring systems are responsive, intuitive to use, and easy to access.

At the helm of the Integration and Delivery function are the Group Managers, who hold key relationships with internal and external partners. This collaborative approach ensures the alignment of demand and delivery, ultimately resulting in an end-to-end service for all stakeholders. We prioritize the support of Data and Digital systems and services, assisting users through changes related to system implementations and facilitating ongoing use and adoption of technology.

Furthermore, the Integration and Delivery function carries responsibility for various elements of PMO functions, spanning from the PMO Centre of Excellence to the actual delivery function within each region.

As a member of the Integration and Delivery team, you'll play a crucial part in advancing our commitment to seamless integration, enhanced services, and a holistic approach to digital solutions. Join us in shaping the future of healthcare technology and making a meaningful impact on the delivery of services across the board.

Mōu | About you

The Application Services Manager, you will be at the forefront of ensuring the seamless operation of critical applications, promoting innovation, efficiency, and positive outcomes for both internal teams and community partners

You will play a pivotal role in overseeing the delivery and support of clinical and corporate systems. While you will be focused on the needs of each district and the wider region, your role also extends to overseeing shared digital services that cater to the larger requirements of Te Whatu Ora, Te Aka Whai Ora, and our community partners.

Your main focus will be on ensuring the effectiveness and efficiency of the design, configuration, delivery, and support of applications within your portfolio. You will work collaboratively with the Planning & Delivery Manager, Change and Adoption Manager, and Solutions Manager to contribute to planning, dive scoping development and implementation of new systems or enhancements. While also engaging with application users to ensure the purpose of changes are understood and system improvements will improve workflow efficiencies.

If you have a passion for driving technological excellence and enhancing the overall experience of our systems, then we would love to hear from you.

Preference will be given to applications of significantly affected Kaimahi through the change process

Te Whatu Ora supports flexible and hybrid working for our kaimahi. In roles that don't require an in-person element, we encourage you to ‘work from where you are.' We want our national teams to be made up of diverse people from across the motu, just like our health system.

Tō mātou whakahaere ki te tika, te rerekētanga, me te whai wāhi mai |Our commitment to equity, diversity and inclusion

Our name, Te Whatu Ora, means ‘the weaving of wellness'. Whatu is the combining together of people, resources, organisations, thoughts and actions for the betterment and wellbeing of all. Whatu is also a direct reference to the pupil of the eye, and the vision required of the new entity and system.

At Te Whatu Ora we acknowledge and respect our people's diversity and spiritual needs, ensuring a safe workplace that is a whānau orientated and supportive environment. We are working towards a system that better meets the complex demands of a growing population, addresses the persistent inequalities experienced by Māori and ensures greater access, experience and outcomes for those traditionally not well served by the system – Māori, Pacific and Disabled People.

Tō tūranga i roto i Te Whatu Ora | Your place in Te Whatu Ora

When you join us, you become part of transforming the health system. This is a once in a life-time change, that will touch the lives of everyone in Aotearoa, and future generations. We want to see the real you in your application and welcome the real you on board if you come and work with us. Skills are gained across many areas of our life, not just in formal employment. If you can demonstrate the skills listed in the ad, but the experience was gained through whānau life, community or mahi aroha (volunteering) we encourage you to apply and share your story with us in your cover letter.

We particularly welcome applications from our diverse Māori, Pacific, disabled, and rainbow communities.
