CT Technologist Job Description CT Technologist Job Summary This contract opportunity is for a skilled CT Technologist at Abrazo West Campus, located in Buckeye, Arizona. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing a variety of computed tomography (CT) procedures, ensuring high-quality diagnostic images while prioritizing patient safety and comfort. This role involves operating advanced CT scanning equipment and collaborating with a multidisciplinary healthcare team to provide exceptional patient care in a dynamic hospital environment. The technologist will play a crucial role in diagnostic imaging, contributing to accurate patient diagnoses and treatment plans. Key Responsibilities Perform diagnostic CT scans in accordance with established protocols and physician orders for various patient populations. Prepare patients for procedures, including explaining the process, positioning, and administering contrast media as required. Operate and maintain CT scanning equipment, ensuring optimal image quality and equipment functionality. Monitor patients during procedures, recognizing and responding to any adverse reactions or emergencies. Accurately document patient information, procedure details, and any relevant observations in the electronic health record. Ensure compliance with all radiation safety regulations and departmental policies and procedures. Collaborate effectively with radiologists, physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated patient care. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment. Required Qualifications Experience as a CT Technologist. Proficiency in CT scanning procedures and equipment operation. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced clinical setting. Strong commitment to patient safety and quality care. Preferred Qualifications Not specified. Skills & Competencies Expertise in CT imaging techniques and protocols. Proficient in operating various CT scanner models. Knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy and physiology. Ability to administer IV contrast media safely and effectively. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Shift Details Shift Type: Flexible Hours: 10:00 AM - 10:00 PM (12-hour shifts) Days per Week: 3 Call Requirements: Not specified. Weekend Rotations: Not specified. Contract Length: 13 weeks Assignment Dates: July 10, 2026 - October 9, 2026 Licensing Requirements Current ARRT (CT) certification.
