Job description

Account Or Finance Controller

PrideStaff is looking for an Account or Finance Controller for a manufacturing company in Modesto, CA. Responsibilities include the following:

  • Financial Reporting: Oversee the creation of balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports.
  • Compliance & Audits: Ensure tax and regulatory filings are correct and manage external audits.
  • Team Management: Lead and train staff accountants, bookkeepers, and payroll clerks.
  • Internal Controls: Set up security rules and processes to prevent fraud and errors.
  • Budgeting & Analysis: Track spending trends, compare actual costs to budgets, and help leaders plan future spending

Qualifications include the following:

  • Recent, relevant work experience within the past 5-10 years
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration is preferred, not required
  • CPA or CMA certification is preferred, not required
  • Must be at least 18 years old and able to show proof of eligibility to work in the U.S.
  • Must be willing to submit to a pre-employment background check and drug screening

Office hours: Monday - Friday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm (Lunch: 12:00 pm to 1:15 pm) Pay range varies DOE: $30/HR-$40/HR For further consideration, please call 209-577-3663
